Kenneth R. Kent is vice president and treasurer, Ford Motor Company, effective August 1, 2017. At the same time, he also is elected a corporate officer. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s overall treasury operations. He reports to Bob Shanks, Ford executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Previously, Kent was controller of The Americas since November 2011. Prior to this role, he was executive director, Investor Relations, Ford Motor Company, responsible for all company efforts with the investment community in both equity and fixed income areas. Kent also was the vice chairman and chief financial officer, Ford Motor Credit Company, a position he held from March 2006 until January 2011.
Kent joined Ford Motor Company in 1987 and served in a variety of financial positions in product development and vehicle operations in North America and in the corporate controller’s office and Treasury. His international assignments include serving as Mazda’s managing director of corporate planning in Japan and as controller for product development with Ford in Europe.
Kent holds a bachelor’s degree in business analysis from Indiana University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Ohio State University.
