Raphael Richmond leads Ford Motor Company’s Corporate Compliance Office, whose mission is to promote and preserve Ford’s culture of ethics and compliance within its dynamic global business.
Prior to taking on this leadership role as Ford’s Global Director of Compliance, Ms. Richmond worked with Ford’s executive team to ensure legal compliance with corporate financial disclosures, and earlier in her career as a litigator representing Ford in state and federal court.
In this role, Ms. Richmond has initiated an internal compliance communication campaign that captures Ford employees’ commitment to Go Further – The Right Way, including the introduction of an award-winning mobile compliance app that puts just-in-time information at the fingertips of Ford’s global workforce, and a new more engaging compliance training approach aimed at increasing employee focus on key compliance topics.
Under her leadership, Ford has received numerous ethics and compliance awards, including being named one of the ten most innovative legal departments by Inside Counsel magazine. Ms. Richmond was recognized with the international innovation award at the Women in Compliance event in London in 2016, and honored to receive the Ethics & Compliance Initiative’s Carol R. Marshall Award for Innovation in Corporate Ethics in Washington, D.C. in 2017. Ms. Richmond presents frequently on compliance topics.
