Lemmer appointed to serve as Ford’s Chief Information Officer to oversee IT services for the company’s global operations
A 31-year Ford employee, Lemmer brings extensive IT experience from leadership positions in both Ford Motor Company and Ford Credit
DEARBORN, Mich., May 10, 2018 – Ford Motor Company today announced Jeff Lemmer has been appointed Ford vice president and Chief Information Officer, effective June 1, 2018. In this role, he will be responsible for IT services for the company’s operations globally, including IT business applications, architecture, data centers, engineering and infrastructure services.
Reporting to Marcy Klevorn, Ford’s executive vice president and president of Mobility, Lemmer will play a key role in overseeing global IT operations during the company’s ongoing transformation to become the world’s most trusted mobility company designing smart vehicles for a smart world.

Lemmer has served Ford in a variety of leadership positions in IT, including most recently as the vice president and Chief Operating Officer of Information Technology where he led the development of automotive-related applications and ran day-to-day operations. In this role, he led the design and construction of two new data centers and the transformation of the IT organization to a product-driven organization, reflecting the best practice of world-class software companies. His leadership improved the organization’s customer centricity, ensured they delivered at market speed and created a vibrant workplace.
Prior to the role of COO, Lemmer was director of Ford’s IT operations from 2015 to 2017, executive vice president at Ford Credit from 2011 to 2014, and director of Ford’s IT global service delivery from 2007 to 2011. A graduate of Lawrence Technological University, Lemmer holds a bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science.
