1988 Ford Mustang GT

Our team at Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords have worked some tough shifts to make sure that Project Hypersilver was ready for its big debut at the SEMA show this year in Las Vegas.

The day has come and many folks surrounded the car waiting anxiously for the covers to come off. Before the official unveiling, our publisher Mike Essex, and Editor Evan Smith had a few words about our 25th-anniversary car.

"We were wondering what we could do to celebrate the 25th-anniversary of our magazine so we decided to build an ’88 Fox-body Mustang," says Editor Evan Smith. "The Fox-body Mustang is one of the first Mustangs that companies started building aftermarket parts for the car."

A familiar face among the crowd of onlookers included Steve Saleen, automotive legend and builder. When asked Saleen what he thought about the car and he was nothing short of impressed.

"It’s really unbelievable. The detail with the dash, the iPad, it has a modern environment but still reminiscent of what we did in the 80’s," says Steve.

We couldn’t be happier with the turnout for the Hypersilver Mustang. We built, we came, we conquered. We hope you enjoy the car too!
