Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is super excited to offer this 1970 Dodge Challenge Convertible 426 Hemi Clone. Sporting a clean red paint with a white leather interior this Challenger is sure to have all eyes on it wherever it goes. In 1970 Dodge made only 9 Convertible Challengers Hemi’s. Of the 9 convertibles made, 4 were automatics and 5 were manuals. This clone has a 2nd Generation Crate 426 Hemi with a Fast EFi 2.0 fuel injector. The engine is paired to an automatic Vendor 6 speed overdrive transmission putting the power down with a 410 Dana Posi-traction rear end. The engine emits its wonderful noise through a TTI exhaust. To slow this beauty down it has been upgraded with Wilwood Disc brakes on all four wheels with 6 piston brakes up front and 4 pistons in the rear. The suspension has been upgraded with a Hotchkis suspension. The engine has been fitted with March Performance Serpentine Pulleys, A March radiator and dual electric fans to keep it cool when running. It also has the great option of Vintage A/C and power windows. The odometer currently reads just under 90,000 miles but the engine has only about 100 miles on it since being put in. The inside has a clean white leather interior with bucket seats and a clean console. Drop the automatic top kick the A/C on throw on some shades and get ready to have a constant smile. All this sits atop 17-inch Chrome 5 spoke American Racing Special Editions rims.
