Chevy Blazer Used to Be a Popular SUV

Chevy Blazer has been one of the most popular SUV’s of all times for a long time in the automobile industry. Its manufacturer, Chevrolet had first designated the tag of Blazer to two door convertible SUV versions in 1969.

Although it is hard to find any Blazer on the roads today, they were extremely popular among the car enthusiasts nearly for five decades in a row. Chevrolet kept producing Blazer until 1994, post which they were pulled off. The same two doors Chevy Blazer was then re introduced as Tahoe.

History

However, during the start of 1980’s, Chevrolet had come up with yet another car which, it chose to name as blazer. This car comes in packed with almost every feature that a SUV driver could desire for. In 2003, the recent version of Chevy Blazer was launched. Some of the additional features which were made available in the 2003 version included improved power plant emissions in the engine. Along with it, the car also had new seat fabrics. This further helped to highlight the reputation of car as highly dependable and well equipped SUV which can be relied upon for security and toughness.

Configuration of the car

The Blazer is available in two versions since 2003 i.e. the LS model which comes both in two door and four door variants along with the standard configuration. The car is fitted with highly efficient Vortec 4300 4.3l V6, two transmission choices. The other variant is the four wheel drive system. This version of Chevy Blazer is considered to be the most efficient one which can aptly adjust itself to any situation on the road.

Some of the features of this SUV include its highly aggressive P 235/ 60R16 Eagle LS low profile tires and deep dish with five spoke aluminum wheels. The steering wheel of the car is already leather wrapped and the windows are deeply tinted. The maximum towing capacity of this car with manual or automatic transmission is 2000 pounds.

The Blazer version with Vortec 4300 V6 also has multi port injection which features a central fuel injector which is capable of delivering fuel to six individual hybrid injectors which results in better performance and improved emissions. Chevy Blazer is a car model which meets all the requirements of National Low Emission Vehicle System in all state.
