Revealed! Ford Maverick EcoBoost Gas Mileage Figures

The window sticker belongs to a 2022 XLT AWD model fitted with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, FX4 Off-Road Package, and equipment group 300A. According to the EPA, this vehicle will cost its owner $500 more in fuel costs over five years than the average new vehicle and will rack up an annual fuel cost of $1,400. This Maverick scores an average of five out of ten for both fuel economy and greenhouse gasses, as well as for smog rating.

What might have come as a surprise for Ford is that the base hybrid variant is proving to be the more popular choice amongst buyers. There’s a possibility Maverick hybrids will be more difficult to find on dealer lots unless one placed an order.
