Ford Bronco Finally Getting The Power It Deserves

Ford Performance already offers power upgrades for models like the Mustang and the major advantage is that they don’t void the factory warranty. In the case of the Bronco, there will be two calibrations on offer. One is for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and the other is for the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. No specific information was revealed about the V6’s potential power hike, but the smaller EcoBoost could be seeing net gains of 25 horsepower and up to 40 lb-ft of torque. The stock 2.3-liter produces 275 hp and 315 lb-ft, so these increases would raise those figures to around 300 hp and 355 lb-ft. Clearly, there is a greater emphasis on torque than outright power. When running on premium gas, the 2.3-liter makes 300 hp and 325 lb-ft, so there are even greater potential gains to be had.
