There’s Some Great News For Ford Maverick Buyers

At least there shouldn’t be any further delays, which will be a welcome relief to anyone who ordered the hybrid Maverick. Some impatient buyers may have been tempted to order the 2.0-liter EcoBoost version instead to get their Maverick sooner, but the hybrid version will be worth the wait. The official EPA figures were released back in October, confirming that the Maverick is the most efficient hybrid pickup in the US.

According to the EPA, the Maverick is rated at 42/33/37 mpg city/highway/combined. That makes the Maverick twice as efficient when driving in cities than the Hyundai Santa Cruz, which returns 21 mpg in cities.
