Ford Maverick Hybrid Goes 600 Miles On A Single Tank

The truck’s software calculated a 44.1 mpg average, a figure that far exceeds the EPA’s estimate. Of those 595 miles, about half (270) were electric. This isn’t just some one-time thing. Other Maverick Hybrid owners and forum members chimed in on the discussions, many of whom claimed similar figures.

However, the forum member made no mention of his driving style and the type of terrain and road conditions he experienced. It could well have been mostly highway driving, but the results are still very impressive nonetheless. It’s also worth noting that the Hybrid is FWD-only. An AWD, 2.0-liter EcoBoost-powered Maverick with 250 horsepower earned a far lower EPA rating of 22/29/25 mpg city/highway/combined.
