Weird Mustang-Based Zimmer Golden Spirit Is Perfect For Halloween

We’ve covered Zimmer cars in the past, and they’ve always been seriously weird. Zimmer was founded in 1978 with the aim of building neoclassical cars. The company hit its stride in the 1980s before tanking soon after, but in the ashes of the old company, this creation has emerged, and we think it’s so weird that it’s wonderful.

This wild creation started out as a humble Ford Mustang and still features the standard 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine, six-speed automatic transmission, brakes, suspension, and limited-slip differential of the original car. The exterior now features a host of modifications, including an entire Zimmer front end, complete with a flying-eagle front emblem, swooping fenders, massive side exit exhaust pipes (fake ones), and a classic rear end that houses a faux spare wheel cover.
