Also on the entry list for this year’s LSPR in Michigan is Lucy Block – Lia’s mom – who will compete in the L4WD group with co-driver Alex Gelsomino, Rhianon’s husband and a former co-driver of Ken’s. Lucy will be behind the wheel of a 2021 Ford Fiesta Rally3 after taking part in an electric buggy in Pikes Peak earlier this year.
As for Lia, her momentous racing year included driving her dad’s Hoonipigasus at Pikes Peak. With its retro Porsche design, that mad machine would be a handful for even the most experienced driver with its 1,400-horsepower twin-turbo flat-six engine. That’s the power output of roughly three Mustang GT models combined.
At this weekend’s Lake Superior Performance Rally, Lia Block will once again be one of the crowd favorites as she continues adding to the Block family legacy.
