Ford Mustang S650 GT Meets Its End While Racing Cadillac CTS-V

The driver couldn’t control the slide, sending the 480-horsepower muscle car straight into a crash barrier on the opposite side of the track. Saying the collision was severe is quite an understatement, as the car actually penetrated the barrier, and it was only stopped from going any further, thanks to a strong chain-link fence.

On the outside, the Mustang appears to have sustained damage to its side rocker panel, its trunk lid, and its rear passenger-side quarter. Some damage to the front end is also visible: the entire lower portion of the front fascia is gone, and judging by the post-crash position of its front wheels, most of the front suspension components are done for.

Thankfully, the side mirrors appear to be unharmed.
