The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the most potent example of that yet, with its otherworldly performance and Nurburgring time of 6:49.328.
Designed with the purpose of delivering a thrilling driving experience that resembles a factory race car, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has continued its dominance on and off the track with eight evolving generations. While the GT3 RS’ body style, technology, and performance have significantly changed since Porsche debuted the first (996) 911 GT3 RS in 2003, the popularity and value of every generation is on the rise amongst passionate purists and collectors. Porsche has entered a whole new realm of performance with the current (992) 911 GT3 RS, incorporating state-of-the-art aero technology from Formula 1 racing. The team at Merit Partners of Atlanta, Georgia is excited to present the exclusive opportunity to own this ultra-rare 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Tribute Edition.
Announced shortly after the reveal of the 992-generation 911 GT3 RS, the “Tribute To Carrera RS” package was introduced as a limited-production version that celebrates Porsche’s motorsport heritage. The special edition Porsche comes finished from the factory in a head-turning gloss white and bright Python Green race livery, specifically honoring the classic 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7. Every air duct, louver, and diffuser works in unison to channel air for cooling and downforce, making the already lightweight GT3 RS even more powerful and agile. Paint-matched Python Green magnesium wheels provide surface traction for the long straights, while carbon ceramic brakes supply the stopping power for corners. The most noticeable detail on the new GT3 RS is a massive swan-neck rear wing that features active DRS (drag reduction system) for faster overtakes.
Inside the Porsche 911 GT3 RS Tribute Edition, passengers are welcomed by a simplistic, driver-centric cabin layered in black leather and Alcantara with matching Python Green contrast stitching. Carbon fiber sports bucket seats add safety and security for high-speed runs and competitive track days, an option included on all GT3 RS models since its conception. The Alcantara sports steering wheel comes with various levels of adjustment, from the suspension to a traction control setting with 7 different positions. You may not use the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS for everyday errands, as Porsche has eliminated the front cargo area in favor of aerodynamics, and the standard-featured Weissach Package on the Tribute Edition comes with a fire extinguisher and room for an racetrack-compliant roll cage.
The 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS is powered by a 4.0L flat-six engine that delivers 502 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque, marketing a staggering 75% increase in power over the 996 generation. While other performance-focused Porsche cars and SUVs rely on assistance from forced induction, the GT3 RS has and will remain a naturally aspirated platform. Without the option for three pedals, Porsche mated the GT3 RS to a finely tuned 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. This powertrain recipe enables the 911 to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just about 3.2 seconds, with a top speed that reaches approximately 197 mph.
