Here’s How Much A Fully-Loaded Ram 1500 Tungsten Costs

When the facelifted Ram 1500 arrived earlier this year, the loss of its V8 engine wasn’t the only big news – a new top-of-the-line trim was introduced, called the Tungsten. It aims at bringing luxury to the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup, and sports various upgrades over lower-run trims. Before you even look at what’s on the options list, the Ram 1500 Tungsten comes in at over $90k, with destination fees and taxes included. That’s likely to bring you into the low six figures once you’ve paid off the loan, even if you secure a great interest rate.

So, what if you want a truly fully-loaded Ram 1500 Tungsten? What will it cost you with all the extras? Let’s add it up and find out.

Pricing information has been sourced directly from the automaker. To calculate potential costs, we’ve used a 6% tax as an example – remember to calculate your own costs using the

The mechanicals of the Ram 1500 Tungsten are important to look at. The truck is powered by the High Output version of the 3.0-liter V6 that is also found in some of the other trims. It makes 540 horsepower. The Tungsten is configured with 4×4, a crew cab, and a 5’7″ box exclusively. Stellantis has yet to release towing capacity specs for the Tungsten trim, but trims with the same engine can manage 7,800 lbs, although the max capacity of the Ram 1500 is said to be 11,580 lbs.

Fuel economy numbers are still forthcoming as well, but the same engine does duty in the Limited Longhorn with the same specs, just one trim down, and that truck averages 15/21/17 mpg on the city/highway/combined cycles. These figures imply you’ll have to budget for fuel – but that’s expected of a truck. So, all of this translates to a truck that you buy for the plush interior and pleasing ride – if you buy a Tungsten to haul lumber and gravel, you’re missing the point. The Ram 1500 is remarkably maneuverable for its size, and when you pair that with the automated parking in the Tungsten, you’ve got a high-end full-size that won’t have you worrying about dinging the panels or scratching the paint.

Before we’ve even added any extras or taken the cost of a loan into account, we’re nearly at $100k. This is what we mean when we say the Tungsten is wasted as a work truck – you wouldn’t spend this much money on a truck you’re going to trawl through the dirt and rocks with. The pricing puts the truck just below the iconic 2024 RAM 1500 TRX, but the Tungsten is oriented towards luxury instead of off-road ruggedness, which the TRX is known for.

Stellantis

All told, that gives us $7,400 in options. Add your $1,995 destination charge for a grand total of $96,470 before taxes. If you build this truck on the website, the automaker automatically deducts a $1,000 in incentives, but this is dependent on where and when you buy the truck, and might not be available in the near future.

The Total Cost Of A Fully-Loaded Ram 1500 Tungsten Can Exceed $120k

$96,470 is the cash price, but not everyone will be paying in cash. Your interest rates, taxes, down payment, and various registration and title fees may be very different from ours. But, if you’re taking out a loan to buy a full-loaded Tungsten, this is a good example for what average terms might look like.

If $120k sounds a bit steep for a pickup, remember, the Tungsten is a luxury vehicle that happens to be a pickup truck, and it’s priced accordingly. Yes, it’s more expensive than a Ford F-150 King Ranch, but, before interest, taxes, and delivery fees, it’s considerably cheaper than an electric pickup will cost you and offers a great deal of luxury for what you pay. In some ways, the Tungsten has more in common with luxury SUVs than it does with other full-size pickups, and if you look at it that way, pricing isn’t too far off.

A Fully-Loaded Ram 1500 Tungsten Is Worth The Price, If You Want Luxury

Stellantis

The list of optional features available in the Tungsten is remarkably short when you consider how endlessly configurable and customizable full-size trucks tend to be. The whole idea behind the Tungsten is to give you a full luxury pickup truck experience right from the start, so there’s not much left to add to the experience from there. You’ve already got leather 20-way seats in the cabin to begin with, as well as the very best in audio that you also find on high-end SUVs.

Stellantis

Most of the options are oriented around whether you want to tow or go off-roading. The towing technology and trailer-tow group are worthwhile add-ons if you’re going to be taking this truck down to the lake with a fishing boat in tow, and the off-road group opens up a whole world of adventure if you want to go climbing rocks and skipping creeks in a pickup that feels like a luxury apartment on wheels.

Stellantis

With all that in mind, we’ll say that the fully-loaded Tungsten is worth the price – for the very specific purpose of being a luxury vehicle. To be clear: you’ll be very, very happy with a base Tungsten, as it’s already jam-packed with features that would easily double the cost of a typical pickup. In fact, it’s for this very reason that the options list is free of the bloat we usually see when building a fully-loaded model.
