Chrysler’s Sole Offering Gets Minor Updates For 2025

The Pacifica, Chrysler’s sole offering for 2025, arrives with several updates aimed at making the competent minivan even better than before. For the new model year, there’s a new Select trim for the standard Pacifica and the PHEV. The Limited grade is now exclusive to the gas-powered variant, while customers can select Pinnacle for both powertrains. Changes have been kept to a minimum; the Pacifica will soon receive a significant update, but only after Chrysler introduces its first electric vehicle.

The S Appearance package is now standard equipment on the Limited and is optionally available on the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Select with Premium Group. Speaking of, the Premium Group includes several nice-to-haves, including a dual-pane sunroof, wireless charger, Uconnect Theater and Sound Group, premium carpets, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.

Engines Carry Over With Zero Revisions

Powerplants remain unchanged, with both models receiving the familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine. The naturally aspirated motor produces 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, with power sent to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but customers can specify all-wheel drive at extra cost. The Pacifica PHEV boasts a combined output of 260 hp. Despite the addition of two electric motors, the V6 itself produces less power. Fuel efficiency is the PHEV’s forte, with an EPA-rated 82 MPGe on the combined cycle.

Chrysler hasn’t touched the Pacifica’s styling, which isn’t a problem, as it is one of the best-looking vehicles in its class. LED headlights are standard across the range, while the front fascia includes a chrome-trimmed grille (except for the S Appearance and Pinnacle models). The S Appearance pack adds Anodized Ink finishes to the badging and grille, with a Foreshadow finish on the wheels.

While the Pacifica is an excellent minivan, it remains to be seen how it will fare against the competition, especially the updated Honda Odyssey.
