Jeff Lemmer | Ford Media Center



Jeff Lemmer is appointed vice president and chief operating officer of Information Technology (IT), Ford Motor Company, effective June 1, 2017. At the same time, he also is elected a Ford Motor Company Officer. In this role, Lemmer is responsible for automotive-related application development and running the day-to-day operations, including networks, data centers and employee collaboration tools. He reports to Marcy Klevorn, Ford executive vice president and president, Mobility.
Lemmer most recently served as director IT operations, a position to which he was named to in January 2015. In this role, he was responsible for managing Ford’s global IT business applications, architecture, data centers, web-hosting requirements, engineering and infrastructure services.
Prior to this position, he moved to Ford Credit as Executive Vice President for IT from 2011 to 2014. He was IT Global Service Delivery Director from 2007 to 2011 and from 2004 to 2006, Lemmer managed Telecommunications Services for IT operations. 
He began his career at Ford in 1987 in systems programming for parts and service warranty.
Lemmer has spent his entire career in IT with Ford, serving in a variety of leadership positions working in the operations in North Americas and at Ford Credit.
Lemmer, born in 1965, earned a bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University.
