Porsche will once again battle for the crown jewels of endurance motorsports in trying to acquire the 24 Several hours of Le Mans for a 3rd consecutive calendar year. The toughest competitiveness on track is Toyota. The Japanese maker has nevertheless to acquire Le Mans. In 2016, Toyota retired in a spectacular finish just minutes right before the finish of the race with a technical failure and in 2017 competes with a few autos towards the two Porsche 919 Hybrid in the top rated LMP1-H class.
