Pros and Cons of The New Charger

The new Dodge Charger has been criticized by many old-school car enthusiasts, simply because it is a four-door model and not a two door model like its predecessor. However while this new wave muscle car is part of the sedan family, it did garner an overall 7.7 rating from the US News Scores. Let's discuss how this score came about. This article will tackle the pros and cons of the car and why you should consider it.

Pros
The engine option of the Charger is the powerful V8 HEMI engine. You can choose from an all-wheel drive option or the rear-wheel drive option. Both the passenger and driver will really love to ride this car for long and short trips because of its smooth performance. Perhaps the best thing of all is that the exterior of the car was inspired by retro styles. Although lots of critics did not like the car's rear, it still wowed the crowds at many car shows.

The next advantage would be the car's sporty look but family-friendly interior. This car has an ample amount of room for families of five, and a large trunk space for both luggage and other necessary items. This car is also quite safe as it has side impact airbags.

Cons
The Dodge Charger also has cons. Some of it would be its frail cabin materials and ergonomic quirks. Although not very vital, the placement of some features where not very helpful at all and need some change for future improvement. Another problem would be the limited visibility from the driver's seat. This one is very important. The driver controls the car with every twist and turn and any blind spot can cause an accident.

While the Charger is really a sleek looking and dynamic car, I must admit that after seeing the new Challenger, I was not quite as enthralled as I was the first time I saw it. To me the Challenger represents what Dodge should be doing, when bringing back any type of retro muscle car.
