Finally, the decision was made to forgo these tops for the time being. Unfortunately, it could turn out to be a long time until they become available. Ford Authority claims it’s learned from inside sources that some hardtop production could be pushed back until the 2023 model year. There doesn’t seem to be much of a chance they’ll be available this year or even next.
For example, customers who ordered the molded-in-color hardtop are seeing their orders being pushed back to an unknown date. The supposed reason not only involves a lack of a certain part but also because there’s been an increase in soft top-equipped Broncos. Ironically, this demand is due to the lack of hardtops.
