Off-Roader Drag Race: Ford Bronco Vs. Jeep Wrangler

Since the Bronco used in the drag race was running on regular fuel, the output drops to 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. This gives the Ford a slight power disadvantage, but it has a lot more torque to help it off accelerate off the line. As for weight, the four-door Bronco weighs between around 4,500 and 5220 pounds depending on equipment. That makes it heavier than the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, which has a curb weight of around 4,400 pounds.

In the first drag race, the lighter Wrangler comfortably beats the Bronco, which will probably upset some Bronco fans. Even with sport mode activated in the second race, the Bronco still loses despite getting an early lead. For the final race, the Bronco went up against a Hemi-powered Ram 1500 pickup, but you’ll have to watch the video to find out the result.
