Ford Bronco DR Debuts With V8 Power And Baja Bragging Rights

The DR will tip the scales at a race weight of 6,200 pounds and feature an approach and departure angle of 47 and 37 degrees and a breakover angle of 33 degrees. To keep traction, the DR rolls on a set of 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 all-season tires and 17-inch beadlock wheels featuring an advanced Krawl-TEK compound and linear flex zone sidewalls. Inside, the two-passenger cockpit features a Multimatic FEA-optimized full safety cage, racing bucket seats, and a Motec digital display.

The exterior features resin transfer molded (RTM) fiberglass body panels which retains the bronco’s four-door design, but luxuries such as glass windows and air-conditioning have been removed for weight-reduction purposes. The front of the car also features a tubular steel bumper and a single-piece grille and production round headlights. The car is finished off in distinctive red, white, black, and blue livery colors.
