It hasn’t been confirmed if Canada’s Mach 1 will also get a power reduction, but it surely will as it’s powered by the same engine. As well as detuning the V8, Ford is also discontinuing the Carbon Sport Interior package when the 2022 Mustang launches.
Currently available for the 2021 EcoBoost, Premium, and GT trims, the Carbon Sport Interior package adds Alcantara trim to the door and seat inserts and carbon fiber inserts to the instrument panel and shifter. It’s not all bad news, though, as three new appearance packages will be available for the 2022 Mustang including the Ice White package, Stealth Edition Appearance Package, and Coastal Limited Package.
