The guy couldn’t believe what he was witnessing and continued to believe that somehow the driver’s shenanigans had been previously approved. Fellow grounds crew members knew otherwise and immediately sprang into action by driving a small forklift over to the left field tunnel, effectively blocking the Bronco driver’s quick escape.
“After about a minute, he came to a stop, and a bunch of the grounds crew guys made their way to the car and did like a citizens’ arrest,” the groundskeeper added. “It happened peacefully, wasn’t aggressive, at least as far as I saw. They walked him over and sat him down.” The police were already on their way and the unnamed driver surrendered without incident.
