Ford has released its latest sales statistics for the second quarter of 2023. The Blue Oval has posted incredible figures, pointing out that its F-Series lineup of trucks is far ahead of its fiercest rival, the Chevrolet’s Silverado.
In the second quarter, the F-Series had a total market share of nearly 36%, up by nearly five full percentage points over last year. Q2 2023 F-Series sales are up 34% to 212,516 trucks, while first-half sales (382,893) increased by 27.9%. According to the automaker, the F-Series has now created a gap of 118,000 units between it and the Silverado lineup.
The automaker says that Q2 truck sales skyrocketed by 26.2% compared to the same period last year, thanks to improved inventory flow. For the first half of 2023, 549,625 Ford trucks (all models) were delivered to customers (+23.1%) – outselling GM’s truck and van lineup by around 61,000 units.
Overall, Ford is the best-selling truck maker in America for six consecutive months in 2023.
