Spending $625,000 On Centennial Edition GT500CR Mustang Helps Save Lives

Classic Recreations, the specialist shop behind the gorgeous Shelby Cobra Diamond Edition, has just introduced a limited-edition Centennial Carbon Fiber Shelby GT500CR. The Dallas-based firm has partnered with the American Heart Association and launched a new campaign to coincide with the arrival of the new GT500CR.

Classic Recreations will donate $100,000 to the American Heart Association for every example sold. With ten examples destined for production, the nonprofit organization can look forward to a combined donation of $1 million to fight heart disease and stroke. Classic Recreations will make the $100,000 contribution in the buyer’s name.

So, aside from the feel-good factor, what do buyers get in return for their $625,000? Power, and a lot of it, for a start. The Centennial GT500CR gains motivation from an 800-horsepower 5.0-liter Coyote V8 equipped with a Magnuson VMP supercharger. As a result, this Mustang recreation can keep up with supercars. 0-60 mph comes up in 3.2 seconds, while the top speed is pegged at 189 mph.
