See The New Batmobile Transform From Concept To Reality

van Overbeeke says he contributed to the new ‘Mobile in the very early concept phase, and that the final design was not entirely of his own making. It sounds to us like Warner Bros. pulled from multiple different designers to create the final car you see above. The most obvious influence is, of course, the car’s muscle car vibe. The front end and cabin clearly pull from the golden era of muscle cars in the 60s and 70s. There’s definitely some Mustang/Charger in the bumpers, fenders, and beltline.

But slightly less apparent is the Lamborghini influence we discussed above. That’s especially apparent in the rear of the car. Lamborghini has a thing for hexagons, and so did van Overbeeke’s Batmobile concept. While it didn’t make it to the final product, the hexagonal exhausts are reminiscent of the rear engine cover found on the Sesto Elemento. The visible gearbox in the rear is also a callback to Formula 1 cars, the Sesto, and other exotics.
