Ever since the first of 11 Honda Accord generations went on sale in the US in 1977, the mid-size Honda sedan has been synonymous with quality and dependability. The various Accord generations were punctuated by year-on year changes to keep the Honda Accord fresh among class rivals; it quickly became one of the top-selling sedans in the country, and so it remains till today. Hybrids became an integral part of the range in the later model years, and the current generation of the Honda Accord contains mostly hybrid trims. The body has also grown to provide best-in-class interior space: the 11th-gen Accord is now over 195 inches long, knocking on the door of the full-size sedan club.
2023-Now Honda Accord 11th Gen
A brand-new 2023 Accord steps up the refinement, tech, and size parameters and retains the 1.5L four-pot with 192 hp and the CVT at the bottom of the range. The 2.0L turbo-four is dropped in favor of a naturally aspirated 2.0L hybrid with 204 hp by way of Honda’s innovative new hybrid system also used in the CR-V.

By the time the 8th-gen redesign of the Honda Accord for model years 2008-2012 was launched, it was already well-established as a car specifically built for North America and differed from the Accord sold in other markets.
