Ford’s Megazilla V8 Crate Engine Costs The Same As A Brand-New Ford Maverick

You can imagine how much more this mill can produce with forced induction involved. To handle all that power, the Blue Oval V8 crate engine comes with reinforced internals, such as a cast iron block, CNC ported aluminum cylinder heads, low-profile intake manifold, Mahle forged pistons, Callies H-beam forged connecting rods, steel crankshaft, high-performance camshaft (with VCT delete), and 92mm throttle body from the Mustang Shelby GT500.

Ford will also include the following with the package: coils, plug wires, spark plugs, production oil pan, shipping/storage cradle, and engine wiring harness. Of note, the Megazilla V8 has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the Ford 4.6/5.4 engines and Coyote 5.0-liter, so you’ll have one less thing to worry about when swapping the Megazilla into your Mustang.
