Saleen Celebrates 40 Years With Low-Volume 800-HP Ford Mustang Special Edition

As usual, all Ford and Mustang logos have been removed, and the bodywork has been significantly altered with a revised front fascia that incorporates numerous black accents, large vents aft of the front wheels, and a hood with a large central scoop. The side skirts have seen some love, too, while the rear end shows more blackening around the taillights, a new rear bumper with vents and updated exhaust tips, and a rear spoiler that looks large enough to go surfing with.

The real party piece is the tonneau cover, which gives the Mustang a proper speedster vibe and integrates a real carbon fiber roll hoop. Remarkably, this cover can be removed if you need to use the rear seats. But at the price this is selling for, we think most owners would simply take another car out of the garage when they need more passenger space. But more on that in a moment.
