Ford Bronco Gets Raptor Steering Upgrade From Ford Performance

Ford Performance notes the Ford Pro-Cal 4 is required to program and configure the Severe Duty steering gear. If your local mechanic or Ford dealership doesn’t have this part, you’ll have to fork out an additional $495. This tool needs to be connected to the Bronco prior to the steering rack being removed, as it is required to configure and program the new part.

The Blue Oval says the new component is compatible with the following models: all 2021-2024 two-door models, 2021-2022.5 Bronco Wildtrak four-doors, and 2021-2024 Bronco four-doors with the Sasquatch package.

Unfortunately, 2021-2023 Bronco Big Bend, Base, Outer Banks, Black Diamond, and Badlands trims without the Sasquatch Package are not eligible for the upgrade.

It’s a shame that Ford has excluded so many models, but we hope an alternative will follow.
